Theme: “Watershed Moments”

Our 59th Annual Convention centered on the theme Watershed Moments—an exploration of both the physical Continental Divide and the spiritual watersheds that mark change and transformation in our lives and in our diocese.

The weekend invited reflection on where God’s living waters are leading us next—through worship, learning, fellowship, and shared discernment.

HIGHLIGHTS

Opening Reception

Hosted by St. Thomas’ Rawlins, Thursday evening set the tone for reconnection and hospitality as clergy, delegates, and guests gathered for the first time in Region IV in more than a decade.

Resolutions

Delegates acted on three resolutions, all of which passed with strong support.

  • Resolution 1: Educational Guidelines for Racial Reconciliation Formation

  • Resolution 2: Repudiation of the Doctrine of Discovery

  • Resolution 3: Affirming Support of LGBTQIA2S+ Persons

WORSHIP AND FELLOWSHIP

Convention worship included the Friday evening service at the Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall and the Sunday Eucharist at St. Thomas’ Rawlins, where Bishop Hunn preached a stirring sermon on renewal and unity in the Body of Christ.

During the Gathering of the Waters, each congregation contributed water from their local streams and rivers—a visible sign of our shared life in Christ and our care for creation.
