Program Director
As a part of the Episcopal Service Corps network, On Sacred Ground – Wyoming Service Corps is dedicated to empowering young adults to transform themselves and the communities around them through faithful commitment to prayer, practice, and self-discovery in the context of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. We are seeking a Program Director to lead this program as it enters its third year. It is a critical time for the program as we transition from a start-up organization to an established ministry, and so we seek a Program Director that will bring their own gifts and skills that will play a significant role in shaping the future form of this program.
We are proud to be equipping the next generation of young leaders in a rural context. As such, an ideal candidate would have a passion for small-town life, gratitude for a rustic environment, and comfort with outdoor recreation.
We are seeking a Program Director that will start in Summer 2023 for onboarding, orientation, and to prepare for the corps members’ arrivals in August. Our incoming cohort will comprise 4 to 6 young adults who will live at Thomas the Apostle Center. Corps Members, Program Calendar, and Community Partnerships will all be in place at time of hire.
The Program Director is responsible for facilitating corps member recruitment, activities, living arrangements, community partnerships, and retreat weekends. In addition, they will oversee a curriculum that includes understanding the importance of social service, spiritual awareness, one’s place in creation, and the wisdom of native spirituality. The Program Director will report to an Advisory Board composed of key stakeholders in the community. On Sacred Ground is sponsored by Christ Episcopal Church, Cody, and strongly supported by The Episcopal Church in Wyoming both in spirit and finances.
