Seasons of Change

We’re setting out on a new adventure across Wyoming. Over the coming months, we’ll travel the back roads and highways that connect our churches, listening for the stories of how faith is lived out in each community.
As the warm, golden days of summer gradually surrender to the crisp, refreshing air of autumn, this enchanting season offers a powerful metaphor for life. Autumn signals a beautiful transition from the vibrant energy of summer to the serene dormancy of winter. As leaves transform into a breathtaking tapestry of reds, oranges, and yellows, fluttering gently to the ground, they symbolize life’s rhythmic cycles and the necessity of releasing old habits and thoughts.
This striking transformation serves as a poignant reminder that nothing lasts forever. It invites us to reflect on the fleeting nature of life and encourages us to embrace the richness of the present moment. As the Greek philosopher Heraclitus wisely remarked, “The only constant is change.”
Autumn provides the perfect backdrop for introspection, urging us to slow down, revisit our journeys, and fully accept the changes that surround us. By letting go of what weighs us down, we unlock the door to exciting new possibilities. Are you ready to embrace change?

Faith in Motion
Like the changing of the seasons, the life of our congregations is always in motion. Each parish carries its own rhythms of growth, change, and renewal. Through this Spirit of the West blog, we’ll share the moments that reveal how God is at work among us—whether in worship, fellowship, or acts of care in the wider community.
The Journey Begins
This first post is our beginning. In the months ahead, we’ll bring you along as we visit parishes, meet people, and tell the stories of the Episcopal Diocese of Wyoming. For now, we begin with gratitude for the road ahead and the One who guides our journey.
