Holy Trinity Church is known for its community outreach activities. First, the People For People program provides free meals, cooked and delivered by volunteers, every Sunday to anyone who requests one. The program is operated from Holy Trinity’s kitchen and pantry and involves volunteers from all over town. Secondly, the BackPack Program provides simple to prepare food to school children each weekend. All elementary students receiving free and reduced-cost lunch at school are included in the program. The backpacks are assembled and stored at Holy Trinity. Volunteers from all over town participate. Thirdly, Holy Trinity volunteers operate The Help Center in downtown Thermopolis. The Help Center assists with rent and utility bills, food boxes, diapers, and infant formula. The Help Center also offers a GED program that includes free tutoring, study materials, testing, and scholarships for continuing education.
